EU funds for the development of clusters

Cluster development within the 2007-2013 European public funds was felt. All previous information collected on the basis of already approved Operational Programmes indicate that even in the period of the new financial perspective 2014-2020 the trend of the development of clusters in Poland will still continue. In addition, clustering can expect in the years 2014-2020 on an even bigger boost EU support especially in sectors belonging to the so-called. smart specialization at the regional and national levels.

The main sources of funding for projects clustered in the new EU financial perspective Operational Programmes include the following:
Smart Development Operational Programme (PO IR)
Expected support under Poire will cover the most important and key clusters in Poland with a significant potential for economic development of the country, which can simultaneously move effectively internationalization process in order to compete internationally. Essential support areas POIR are:

• Promotion of the export-oriented,
• Identify and support the development strategy of the National Cluster Key.

This program will also be favored individual cluster members applying for grants for individual projects.

Eastern Poland Operational Programme PO PW)

Clusters operating in five eastern provinces Polish: Podkarpackie, Lubelskie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podlaskie can count on additional support from the Operational Programme Eastern Poland. The principal areas of support include:

•      realization of investment activities,
•      creating a common brand,
•      conducting R & D & I
•      internationalization.

In addition, under the program will be possible to implement cross-regional R & D projects by entities clusters.

5 Regional Operational Programmes (RPO)

Each of the five provinces of the site, which will come from the cluster members przeznaczało EU funds to support the creation and development of regional clusters.
